Italian Trade Commission Selects Walker for Expert Panel

Flat Earth Imports President Kitch Walker was recently invited to participate on a panel regarding Italian household and giftware products for the U.S. luxury market. 

The panel is comprised of key industry experts representing buyers, retailers, designers, distributors and print media, and is being facilitated by Pam Danziger on behalf of the Italian Trade Commission.  Ms. Danziger, author of Let Them Eat Cake: Marketing Luxury to the Masses as well as the Classes and president of Unity Marketing, is known for her ground-breaking work in understanding the mind and behavior of the U.S. luxury consumer.  To learn more about Pam Danziger, click here.

Other panel members include Maria Weiskott from Gifts & Decorative Accessories and David Tisdale of Tisdale Design, as well as notable professionals from Le Petit Chateau, Simpatico and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The first roundtable discussion took place in May 2008 in New York City with the panel making recommendations for products that several Italian manufacturers will debut at the Macef International Home Show in Milan, Italy in 2009.  Walker will travel with other panelists to Milan for the presentation.
