Walker Presents at National Small Business Conference

Flat Earth Imports’ President and Cofounder Kitch Walker presented his frequently requested seminar “The Power of Research and Planning: Harnessing Decision-Making Information” at the 26th annual conference of The Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC). The conference was held in Houston, Texas at the Hilton-Americas convention center.

According to Montana Small Business Development Center (SBDC) state director Ann Desch, Walker is the first Montanan ever invited to present at the national convention.

In southwest Montana, Prospera Business Network (formerly Gallatin Development Corporation) hosts the local SBDC office. Walker was formerly board president of Prospera Business Network, and he currently serves on its board of directors.

The ASBDC is the national association representing the nation’s 63 congressionally authorized state and regional Small Business Development Center programs. America’s Small Business Development Center Network, with its 1,000-plus service centers nationwide, annually provides face-to-face business management consulting, training and information to 1.2 million small-business owners nationwide.

Walker is well known in the Montana SBDC community for his frequent marketing seminars as well as for his work as a marketing consultant with Bozeman-based Ripple Marketing.
